ADSL Central Filters

Do you have ADSL? With a central ADSL filter you get higher sync speeds and eliminate the annoying white box hanging out of every phone socket!

C10100E ADSL Central FilterA Low Pass Filter is used with ADSL to divide the voice telephone system from the ADSL data system. Without an ADSL filter you will hear a high hissing or whistling sound when you pick up your home phone and the internet connection will drop out when the phone rings. Typically most ADSL users use inline ADSL filters, connected to each phone socket. A Central ADSL Filter eliminates the need for these by dividing the data service off at the point of entry.

The Central ADSL Filter is typically installed in an easily accessible location in the ceiling or at the NTD on the outside wall. A cable runs from there to the location where you want to install the ADSL modem. At this location I install a double phone socket, with socket labeled "Phone" for voice telephony and the other labelled "ADSL" for connection of your ADSL modem.

I use the Model C10100E Central ADSL Filter from C10 Communications. Installation often results in a marked increase in ADSL sync speeds. I recommend all ADSL2 users install a central ADSL Filter. Contact me for a quote!
