Welcome to the site! My name is David Findlay and I'm the owner and operator of Woody Point Communications.
I provide services such as Replacement TV Antennas, New TV, Phone and Data Points, Phone Line Repairs, CCTV Surveillance Systems and setup of audiovisual equipment. My focus is on providing friendly personal service to private residential and small business customers in Redcliffe, Northern Brisbane and surrounds.
About Me
I have 10 years experience in the Telecommunications and TV industries. I have a license for Telecommunications Cabling and a QLD Security Provider License. I am also endorsed under the Australian Government's "Digital Ready" scheme.
My business was established in 2000 under the name "Davsoft". I originally worked in IT, developing websites and providing computer support. Later I worked in computer shops. I also worked as a contractor to various companies cabling for phones, LAN and TV.
In 2005 I began working as a contractor for a company providing wireless broadband to customers who couldn't get fixed line broadband, particularly around the Lockyer Valley and Gold Coast Hinterland. My role involved installations of antennas on roofs and LAN cabling into homes. Through this work I gained a lot of experience in installation of antennas and cabling in a wide variety of situations. Regularly I worked with a highly experience local Redcliffe TV Antenna installer. Through these lines of work I gained a thorough understanding of television and radiocommunications systems.
Since 2008 I've been operating independantly under the name "Woody Point Communications".
